It offers some of Atlanta’s most spectacular homes in one of the region’s most sought-after areas. With beautiful homes and world-class shopping and dining, it’s easy to see why Buckhead is so revered.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Peachtree Road runs through the heart of Buckhead. This busy street is lined with some of Atlanta’s finest shops and restaurants. Phipps Plaza is one of the city’s premier upscale shopping destinations, with premium shopping from over 100 high-end brands as well as over a dozen restaurants, an AMC movie theatre, and a LEGOLAND Discovery Center. On the opposite side of Peachtree Road from Phipps Plaza, Lenox Square offers many more luxury retailers with over 250 stores anchored by Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s, and Neiman Marcus department stores. The storefronts of fashion brands such as David Yurman, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton at Phipps Plaza and Lenox Square are the only such stores within several hundred miles of Atlanta. Peachtree Road’s fine dining options are just as impressive. Zagat-rated Italian eatery St. Cecilia serves sublime seafood and pasta dishes alongside outstanding cocktails. Karma Farm is a great fast-casual restaurant offering health-conscious farm-to-table dishes with numerous vegan-friendly and gluten, dairy, and nut-free options. In the evening, head to the rooftop Regent Cocktail Club for sophisticated drinks and stunning views over the city. The nearby Buckhead Village District offers a variety of trendy fashion boutiques and hip bars and restaurants. South African-style gastropub and craft cocktail spot Biltong Bar has an innovative drink menu and must-try dry-aged beef jerky. Vis-a-Vis The Salon is an artisanal hair salon with some of Atlanta’s most sought-after stylists and colorists. The Shops of Miami Circle is arguably the best place in Atlanta to shop for furniture and home décor items. It’s also home to the unique upscale bowling alley The Painted Pin. At the Atlanta History Center on West Paces Ferry Road, you can enjoy sublime espresso drinks and craft coffees at BRASH Coffee and a rotating menu of seasonal soups at SouperJenny. Also located on West Paces Ferry Road, Goldberg’s Bagels is hard to beat for tasty breakfasts and light lunches. Buckhead Diner on Piedmont Road is a classy retro diner with upscale twists on classic American comfort eats as well as an extensive drink menu of beers, wines, and cocktails.

Things to Do

Atlanta History Center has a 33-acre campus with a museum housing permanent and temporary exhibits exploring the city’s past. The History Center’s campus also has beautiful gardens and historic buildings, such as the grand 1920s Swan House and the 1840s Smith Family Farm. The Georgia Governor’s Mansion is a mile west of Atlanta History Center on West Paces Ferry Road. This Greek Revival mansion has been home to every Georgia governor since the late 1960s, including President Jimmy Carter. The mansion opens its doors to the public for guided tours and special events. 268-acre Chastain Park is the largest city park in Atlanta. The park’s many amenities include jogging paths, tennis courts, playgrounds, a golf course, a swimming pool, and a horse park. It’s also home to the Chastain Park Amphitheatre, which stages outdoor performances from some of the biggest names in music and comedy. Performers at the Chastain Park Amphitheatre have ranged from legends such as Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Bob Dylan, and Aretha Franklin to contemporary stars such as Billie Eilish. Blackburn Park in neighboring Brookhaven is home to a large annual Cherry Blossom Festival featuring an artists’ market, a kids zone, food vendors, live music, and a 5K run. On Saturday mornings, the seasonal Peachtree Road Farmers Market hosts lots of vendors selling organic local produce and specialty foodstuffs. Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is a leading non-profit medical facility located on Peachtree Road.
